A few days ago, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated at a press conference of the "National Electric Motor Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") held in Beijing that it intends to use three years to promote the upgrade of the national motor system. The "heart-changing" plan of the industrial system. In the "Plan", it is mentioned that around the key links of motor production, use, recycling and remanufacturing, speed up the elimination of low-efficiency motors, vigorously develop and promote high-efficiency motor products, and expand the market share of high-efficiency motors; at the same time, accelerate the implementation of energy-saving transformation of motor systems , Establish and improve the recycling mechanism of used motors, and promote the efficient remanufacturing of motors. At the same time, according to the "Plan", the research and development of key technologies for high-efficiency motors will be accelerated, a batch of advanced technologies in the fields of high-efficiency motor design, control, matching, and key materials and equipment will be screened nationwide, and a catalog of advanced applicable technologies will be released to guide motor manufacturers to strengthen Technology research and development, improve the digital signal processing ability, strengthen the optimization of the motor control system. At the same time, promote the popularization and application of safe and reliable insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) and other power electronic chips and modules in the field of motor energy saving. Give full play to the power of national professional and core motor research institutions, strengthen cooperation between motor manufacturers and users, and develop motor products that meet market needs. For mature and advanced technologies, strengthen the connection with the application links, carry out application demonstrations and accelerate the promotion and application. However, the high production cost of high-efficiency motors is currently a problem faced by enterprises in their selection. According to the survey, high-efficiency motors are on average about 10%-20% higher than ordinary motors. Among them, material costs account for about 80% of the total cost. According to a survey conducted by the International Copper Association, domestic electric motors are mainly sold by machinery and equipment suppliers, while the proportion of sales to end users and agents only covers about 20%. Therefore, when selecting a motor, equipment suppliers often consider the one-time input cost and the price of the complete machine, ignoring the operating expenses of the equipment life cycle, and therefore lack the motivation to proactively purchase high-efficiency motors. Motors, as widely used electrical equipment in various industries, have a large volume and a long running time. From the perspective of the full life cycle, the cost of a high-efficiency motor is only 1% of the energy cost consumed in its life cycle. According to Wang Gen of the International Copper Industry Association, in addition to breakthroughs in key technologies for high-efficiency motors, the materials and components of motors should also be continuously innovated and upgraded. The current common motor losses are mainly core losses, stator and rotor copper losses, wind friction losses and stray losses. Taking the most commonly used three-phase AC asynchronous motor as an example, the copper loss of the stator and rotor accounts for a large part of the total loss of the motor. Because copper has extremely high conductivity, it can play an important role in reducing motor stator and rotor losses. For stator loss, most motors use copper wire to make the stator windings of the motor, and the efficiency of the motor can be further improved by increasing the copper wire section; for rotor loss, most squirrel-cage three-phase asynchronous motors currently use For cast aluminum rotors, if a cast copper rotor is used instead of a traditional cast aluminum rotor, the total loss of the motor will be significantly reduced, thereby improving the overall efficiency of the motor. The use of cast copper rotors can produce high-efficiency or even super-efficient motors. Therefore, in the motor, the use of copper can reduce the loss of the motor. At the same time, Wang Gen also suggested that companies should take a long-term view and pay more attention to the hidden costs of products, so as to choose energy-efficient products. It is understood that the International Copper Association is the world's most important non-profit international organization to promote the rational and effective use of copper. Its headquarters is located in New York, USA, and it conducts market promotion through 31 regional representative offices in 24 countries on 6 continents. As a member of the National Electric Motor Energy Efficiency Improvement Office, the International Copper Association is currently actively cooperating with the Chinese government in the formulation and implementation of relevant policies, regulations and standards to promote the transformation and upgrading of my country's high-efficiency motor industry.
